Denise Kable Campus Vision  2016
The Denise Kable Campus, located at 58 Ramsay Street Toowoomba, has been operating under the current model since 2009.
The Denise Kable Campus (DKC) is a dynamic alternative learning context incorporating the following:
Positive Learning Centre, Toowoomba Alternative Learning Education Site (TALES) and the Electives.
Our campus expectations are based on the values of:  Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Safety.
These values are fundamental to our daily operations.
Our Beliefs:
Evidence based practice underpins our work.
The Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework guides the selection, integration and implementation of our academic and behaviour systems, practices and use of data, ensuring we create a positive and safe learning environment.
Staff explicitly teach the competencies of: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and social management, as reflected in the General Capabilities (Personal and Social Capability) of the Australian Curriculum, and supported through Skill Streaming lessons.
Students are provided opportunities to re-engage with learning, through a proactive, student-centred approach, with a focus on extending Literacy and Numeracy skills.
 Our Staff:
Staff are highly skilled professionals. The Behaviour Coaches build capacity within schools across the region to help create safe and supportive environments that are conducive to learning.
DKC staff pride themselves on building meaningful and respectful relationships with parents / carers, schools and other agencies, and do so by negotiating roles and responsibilities, maintaining open communication, confidentiality and respecting diversity. This approach ensures the best possible outcomes for all students.
Staff are passionate about ensuring all students reach their full potential and are successful in post-school life. We support an holistic approach.
